Madre’s Condition 3-8 July

Moms surgery last night went well. The knee has been stabilized with an external fixator which makes it less likely for further injury while she’s in bed. She has been kept sedated overnight to help her get some sleep. Her blood pressure was good both during the surgery and throughout the night which was a concern with the general anesthetic. Her metabolism is starting to come back online and she is tolerating an increased caloric supply through her feeding tube. She did not meet all the criteria for extubating this morning so she remains on the ventilator today. The injuries to her kidney, liver, and bladder are starting to heal. They had to flush her bladder again last night as some of the blood clots were starting to reduce bladder output, but that was successful. We don’t know what the next procedure will be yet but I’ll send an update as soon as we do.
